(WWJ) Detroit police are trying to track down a man who was assaulted in the popular Greektown area of Detroit in one of a pair of gun-related incidents at the area last night.
In the first, police say it's not clear why it happened, but the victim was pistol whipped as he stood outside Greektown Casino. He and another man may have been arguing, per local media reports, and during the altercation the man with the gun ended up pistol whipping, shooting into a nearby liquor store window, and then running.
Officers tracked down the suspect, who was described only as a 27-year-old man. They found him about a half-hour after the attack near Randolph and Gratiot and say he was taken into custody without incident.
The gun was located, police said.

But now police want to locate the victim, saying they want only to ensure he is OK.

The victim is described as a white man wearing a light blue shirt, dark jacket, gray pants and black and white gym shoes. He had a gray hat and was carrying a backpack.
WXYZ reports this was one of two incidents in Greektown last night. In the second, two were shot in a gunfight in the area of Beaubien and Larned, and one of the men ran to Greektown Casino-Hotel and kicked in the windows in the valet parking area trying to take cover.
Both victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital; There's no word on their condition.
